We reported within the ‘News’ section of our website on Saturday 28th November 2015, that long time friend of our Team Leader at the time Garry Rhodes MBE and his partner Ann, former Bolton MRT Call out list member Lee Budworth, of Adlington, a very keen outdoorsman, walker, mountaineer, fell runner, road cyclist and skier, had contacted Garry earlier in 2015 and mentioned that he was the main Northern Sales Agent – England and Scotland for a US footwear brand called Bogs.

Garry was personally offered a pair of BOGS footwear by Lee to trial and comment upon, specifically their wellington boot type design, following which Lee then made the kind offer of supplying ‘cosmetic factory returns / and display models’ of the BOGS footwear range to the Bolton MRT membership, as and when such becomes available to him.

True to his word, on Sunday 22nd November 2015, Lee met with our then Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, and handed over a number of BOGs footwear products / wellington boot designs, to pass out to those lucky ‘Cinderella’s’ in the team whose foot size matches the boots available.

Lee also informed Garry at the time of the fantastic news, that following the use and trial of BOGS footwear by a very experienced SARDA England Mountain Rescue Air Scenting Search Dog Handler, BOGS footwear products were to be supplied by Lee in a sponsorship deal to some SARDA England Dog Handlers.

Today Saturday 19th March 2016, Lee again met up with Garry and Ann, and passed over a further small number of BOGS products for the Bolton MRT membership, along with the news that such products are also going to be supplied possibly to another SARDA body in Scotland.

The team extends its continuing thanks to Lee for this kind support, and promise of further future support for the Bolton MRT by supplying BOGS footwear products as such become available for the use of our members.

And Garry’s continuing verdict on his BOGS … very warm, very comfortable and very supportive.
