Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

10th May 2016

Denis Ward, Scout Leader of 25th Warrington East Scout Troop (St Wilfrid’s, Grappenhall) has been in touch with Bolton Mountain Rescue Team with the fantastic news that the Scout Troop has chosen the team  as their 2016 Christmas Charity.  The Scouts will be tackling a Krypton Factor Assault Course in Richmond, North Yorkshire,  on 29th October 2016 and will be sponsored to raise funds for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team – the very best of luck to them all on completing the course, and no injuries please!

Denis will be accompanying the Scouts on a visit to our HQ on 14th October 2016 for the Scouts to get an insight into our work and see how their fundraising will assist us. Representatives of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team have, in turn, been invited to attend their Scout Meeting on 16th December 2016 to receive the total from the fundraising and join in with their Christmas activities.

St Wilfrid’s Grappenhall Scouts, under Denis’s leadership, chose Bolton Mountain Rescue Team as their Christmas Charity in 2008 and 2011, and have raised a total of over £1,250 from their fundraising efforts; and we very much appreciate all their support of our work.
