Today, we were paged by our colleagues in Cheshire Search and Rescue Team for assistance with a developing search for a missing 14 year old girl. The girl had gone missing from her home address on Monday evening with police and search teams searching throughout Tuesday into the early hours of Wednesday.
With increasing concern for the girls welfare and due to a very large area to search, a large number resources were requested on Wednesday afternoon to work alongside Cheshire Constabulary.
Team members Steve Nelson and Elaine Gilliland who are also members of SARDA Wales along with Boris our specialist trailing search dog were requested first and assisted from early afternoon and into the evening.
The full team was paged by Cheshire Search and Rescue Team with a request for assistance at 16.30. A further 10 team members responded in 3 team vehicles who were quickly deployed to search large areas of Oulton Park near Little Budworth. Our team completed all allocated search areas and were stood down at around 11pm.
In total 162 search and rescue personnel assisted Cheshire Constabulary who itself had a very large number of officers involved.
