This evening the team provided a Standby Rescue Cover for the annual Bull Hill Fell Race, organised by Radcliffe Athletics Club.
The route from the Wagon and Horses pub in Holcombe took the 204 runners on a 5 mile route almost following the edge of the firing range.
3 team landrovers were deployed at strategic points around the course, along with out Control Vehicle positioned in the middle of the route with access kindly being granted by Holcombe Moor Training Centre.
In total, 17 team members were involved on what was a quiet evening, albeit a challenging one for one of the Landrover crew who had to (safely!) negotiate a landslide on the access track they were using.
The race commenced at 19:30, with the final runner and marshals completed the course at 21:30, with the vehicles departing to return to their respective bases.
The weather was excellent once again and fortunately our services were not required, with all runners safety accounted for.
The team thanks Radcliffe Athletics Club for their kind donation of £75.00.
