Today five team members, Iain Clarkson from our Support Group and Alison Greenough, wife of Team Leader Alistair Greenough attended Bibbys Farm Scout Camp for their Summer Blowout 2016 event.
The event attracted around 200 Beaver and Cub Scouts from troops across the North West who were invited to take part in activities such as archery, climbing, caving and axe throwing (!). Amongst the more sedate activities was a display of owls, face painting and our two team vehicles, with demonstrations of the equipment we carry.
Of particular interest were the vacuum splints and mattress, where we had queues of people eager to volunteer to splint their “broken” arms and legs.
The team would like to thank all the children who took time to visit and show an interest in the team, and we would like to thank Bibbys Farm Scout Camp for inviting the team to the event.
