On the return journey to our Ladybridge Hall base, at 16:29 the team received the third callout of the day to assist NWAS crews with an incident involving a female who had fallen off a rope swing near Tower Farm, Greenmont.
With this location being near to the border with Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team area, we contacted them to assist in the potential long carry-off.
A paramedic and ambulance crew were on scene tending to the girls injuries, watched over by the girls mother and friends, who were both taking photos of the incident so the girl could look back on them once she was well enough.
Bolton and Rossendale team members put the girl into one of our full-body vacuum mattresses and carefully transported the girl from the incident location back to the waiting ambulances.
The incident was complete at 17:45 with the casualty transferred to the ambulance.
All three incidents today represent the close relationship Bolton Mountain Rescue Team have with neighbouring teams and the North West Ambulance Service.
