Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

29th August 2016

At 14.23 today, as team members were finishing off maintenance work at our Ladybridge Hall base, the team was contacted by NWAS for assistance with an incident within Philips Park in Whitefield. A 19 year old female cyclist had fallen and injured her leg in an inaccessible part of the park.

As some team members were at base we were able to make a fast response with our first Land Rover Ambulance on its way at 14.34 and our first team member arriving on scene in their own vehicle at 14.35.

An ambulance, an RRV and a Northwest Air Ambulance (Helimed 75) were also called to this incident.

On arrival, our team members assisted the ambulance and helicopter crews carry the patient to the waiting ambulance. We then assisted the helicopter crew with marshalling during take off due to the large number of members of public in the area. Team members left scene at 15.30.
