We were contacted in August by Irene & David Spencer of Egerton with a request for our charity collection boxes; they were to celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary on 10th September 2016 and wished guests to make donations to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team instead of buying them gifts.

Our Support Group member, Iain Clarkson, responded to their request with collection boxes, information leaflets and ‘text to donate’ cards and congratulated them on their fifty years together.

Iain returned to see Irene & David today to collect the boxes and when the money was counted, he was delighted to find a marvellous total of £325.00 had been donated by their generous party guests.

We would like to offer belated congratulations to Irene & David, thank them for their generosity in choosing us to benefit from the happy occasion, and thank all their kind guests who made donations to our charity.
