Back in April 2015 Bolton MRT members Diane Blakeley, Paul Copley and Heath Doran visited Horwich Women’s Institute, during which they gave a talk and equipment demonstration. A few months later we discovered that we had been chosen as the Institutes Charity for the Year.

Tonight Paul and Diane attended the WI’s meeting to accept a fantastic donation of £350. Much of the money had been raised following a fashion show that Horwich WI had organised. The fashion show had generated a lot of support including Diane’s mum Linda, who had attended as President of Ladybridge WI and was asked to talk about our work for those supporting the fashion show who were not at the April meeting.

The cheque was presented by Horwich WI President Chris Rigg and Secretary Audrey Callaghan. A beautiful handmade card which had been made by one of the members was also presented.
