This evening, members of Horwich, Westhoughton & District 41 Club were welcomed to our HQ by two team members, two trainee members, and one of our Support Group members.
The Club, former Round Table members, meets for social activities and members had come along to our HQ to learn more about our work. They were shown a video about Mountain Rescue and given an insight into our work by our Equipment Officer (HQ & Catering), Paul Copley, who also answered their questions. Gillian Gregory, Team Secretary and member of our Support Group, then told them about the work carried out by the Support Group. The Club members then went downstairs to the garage with Equipment Officer (Stretchers & Ropes), Nigel Booth, and trainee team members, John Ryan and Michael Jones, to see our Mountain Rescue Land Rover Ambulances and equipment, before returning up to our lecture room. Their Club Secretary, John Metcalfe, thanked our members for an interesting evening with a promise of a donation early in the new year.
We would like to thank Horwich, Westhoughton & District 41 Club for taking the time to visit us and for showing an interest in our work.
