At 16:19 today the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service for assistance with an incident at Moses Gate Country Park.
Many people were taking the opportunity to enjoy the unseasonal warm, bright weather including an 84 year old male, out walking around Moses Gate Country Park. The gentleman had slipped on one of the paths suffering a hip injury.
The ambulance service personnel had reached the gentleman but were unable to get the ambulance close to the incident due to the carpark height restrictions. The team responded with 18 people and our 4 LandRover Mountain Rescue Ambulances who were able to access the park.
Due to the injuries of the gentleman, he was placed on to one of our stretchers and carried the short distance to the ambulance.
We would like to wish the man a speedy recovery.
