At 20:39 this evening the team was contacted by our colleagues from Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team to assist in a search for an 81 year old woman who Lancashire Constabulary were becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

23 team members started to assemble at our Ladybridge Hall base for onward travel to the Clayton-le-Moors area.

As the team were congregating, the happy news came through that the woman had been found by the NPAS helicopter.
