Today team members Bob Hutchinson and Paul Brain travelled to Cowpe in Rossendale to support Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team provide standby rescue cover for the Rossendale Harriers 50th Anniversary Juniors, U21, Junior Inter-counties fell race series.

A series of six races categorised by age group with increasing distances for each group greeted the competitors, with competitors travelling from across the UK.

Apart from two minor incidents dealt with on the completion of the course, a competitor who had pulled a muscle, and another competitor who had grabbed hold of a barbed wire fence, the day passed without incident.
