We have received a letter from Mr George Arnold of Preston enclosing a fantastic donation of £283.00. George explains that he is a member of Preston Harriers and each year he has a birthday party with a charity raffle. This year he has chosen Bolton Mountain Rescue Team to benefit as he competes in most of the fell races on the West Pennine Moors and trains in our operational area on Winter Hill and the Darwen Moors. Fortunately, he has never had to call on our services but is comforted to know we are available should an incident arise.
We would like to thank George for his generous gesture of support and wish him belated Birthday Greetings from the Team and continued enjoyment of his sport.
