On Saturday, 8th July, a beautiful warm and sunny day, the team had a busy time attending three different community events – Bolton’s Big Day Out at the Bridge Church, Agecroft Fire Station Open Day, and St Elizabeth’s Church Fete, Horwich.

Team members John Ryan & Bob Melia (Support Group) represented the Team at Bridge Church and received donations totalling £10.18 from the public. At St Elizabeth’s Church, Team Leader Alistair Greenough, President Bob Hutchinson, and team members Matt Hailwood, Nigel Booth, Paul Copley, Steve James, and Iain Clarkson (Support Group) raised £53.02. Agecroft Fire Station Open Day was supported by team members Heath Doran, James Shaw, Christine Greaves, John Dickinson and Mike Stevenson.

We would like to thank the organisers for invitations to these three events and also the kind members of the public who showed an interest in our work and dropped donations into our charity buckets.
