Below is an account from Paul Copley who attended the funeral of Ellen Higginbottom on behalf of the team. Ellen was the subject of the search at incident 44/2017 in Orrell Water Park.

Today I attended the funeral of Ellen Higginbottom on behalf of the team. A lovely service was held to celebrate the 18 year old Ellen’s life at Altrincham Crematorium.

I spoke to Ellen’s family after the service, they passed on their heartfelt thanks to the team and especially thanked those who stayed behind longer than they needed to that night.
