On Sunday 30th July we had our regular Maintenance Day when vehicles and equipment are checked and cleaned and any repairs and alterations carried out.
We were pleased to welcome to our HQ the Chairman of Kearsley & Ringley Conservative Club, Stephen Bradshaw, and club member, Tony Clugston. Tony organises raffles at the club throughout the year and had chosen Bolton Mountain Rescue Team to benefit from the latest funds following our involvement in the Boxing Day floods of 2015 in the Stoneclough area.
Our Chair, Gill Leigh, watched by other team members, was delighted to receive a cheque for the fantastic total of £735. We currently have a project to buy 4-6 new lightweight external defibrillators, which are vital pieces of medical equipment and easy to carry on the hill along with all our other necessary kit. The total cost is nearing £10,000, so this very welcome donation will start the fundraising well and we are extremely grateful to Kearsley & Ringley Conservative Club and their members for such great support.
