Tonight Team Support Group members Amanda Strickleton and Sarah Hindle representing the team, went along to yet another very kind Charity Prize Bingo evening, organised by RAOB GLE Limited, Friendship Lodge 2488, at the Crown Hotel, Horwich, with the team as the named charity beneficiary.

There follows Amanda’s account of the evening;

“Last night Sarah Hindle and I attended the Charity Prize Bingo Night, at the Crown Hotel, Horwich, organised by ’The Buffs’. It was also attended by a small but very welcoming and enthusiastic group of regulars.

Sarah and I were very aware that on previous occasions the representatives of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team had won many of the bingo prizes! With this in mind, we endeavoured not to win too many – and I have to say we were very successful in this! Our only winnings was a box of Turkish Delight won by myself in the raffle at the end of the night.

There was plenty of good hearted banter amongst the group, and at the end of the evening we were told that £66 had been raised for Mountain Rescue. As always, the team appreciates all the hard work of the Lodge members in organising these monthly events and for selecting Bolton Mountain Rescue as the chosen charity this month.”
