This evening, following the retirement from post of the previous holder of the office, we held a Special General Meeting to elect a new Team Training Officer, commencing at 20.00hrs at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
Our elected Chairman Craig Lamb was unable to attend, so overseeing proceedings was taken on board by team member Ken Oakes, as acting Chairman (Ken held this post for a number of years previous to Craig taking up the post)
Thirty three team call out list members attended the SGM, with Support Group member Gillian Gregory, who is our Secretary, recording the proceedings.
Alistair Greenough, aged 43, who joined the team in April 2002, was duly elected as our Training Officer.
Alistair from Spring View, Wigan, a keen mountaineer, works full time as a very long experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse at Warrington Hospital.
Within the team Alistair has held previous Office within the Team Council, namely as our Equipment Officer – Medical.
Almost straight after joining the team, Alistair contributed considerably to our casualty care training, and every single team member who has been in the team since Alistair joined has benefitted from his willingness to pass on his considerable A&E knowledge and experiences to all of the membership.
Congratulations Alistair from all of your team colleagues upon your newly elected appointment.
