Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

24th June 2012

This afternoon, Team callout list member Alan James (One of our Life Vice Presidents and a founder team member in 1968) with his wife (and former team call out list member) Di James, journeyed to Ellenbrook Primary and Community School to attend their Summer Fayre in one of our Team Land Rover Ambulances (BM1).

This warm and dry! day brought lots of people to visit the Summer Fayre, and our Land Rover and team display of search and rescue equipment carried on the vehicle, generated a huge amount of interest from young and old alike.

We are pleased to announce that impromptu donations made to the team today amounted to £9.40p

Alan and Di also carried out a rescue whilst present at the Summer Fayre, namely the rescue and recovery of the attending ice cream van, bogged down in soft ground after the recent heavy rains, and pulled out of the mud with thanks to our Land Rover vehicle mounted winch.

Spencer Harrison of Ellenbrook PTA subsequently reported to us the following via an email ; “Thanks for a great display again at our Summer Fair. We’ve had some good feedback from the many parents & children who enjoyed viewing all the equipment.
A special thanks from Mr Manfredi who said the team has free lollies at the next event!
