Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

15th June 2012

This morning Lancashire Constabulary were involved in a search for a missing male in the Withnell area of Lancashire.

This led to the call out of Bowland Pennine MRT to assist them as the search developed.
Phil O’Brien the Team Leader of BPMRT then spoke to our Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon, requesting the services of our Mountain Rescue Trailing Dog Handler Steve Nelson and his Search Dog Boris, with the possibility also existing that the Bolton MRT may also be required to assist.

At 10.09hrs our Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon paged out that Steve Nelson had been called out, and that the team may also be called out to assist.

At 10.20hrs with Steve Nelson en route to the Search RVP, (He had got to Belmont Village) news was received that the missing person had been located by Lancashire Constabulary, and BPMRT were stood down as was Steve Nelson.
