Regular readers will be aware via our website that on Good Friday 2014, the team came to the rescue of Chloe Southworth, who suffered a leg injury on Rivington Pike whilst enjoying the sunny day with her father, uncle and cousin.

Chloe was immediately tended to by team members on the day, and was flown to hospital by the North West Air Ambulance (Please see website ‘News’ report dated Good Friday, 18th April 2014).

Since her accident that day, Chloe has very kindly offered to support the North West Air Ambulance and Bolton Mountain Rescue Team charities in her role as Rose Queen for 2014-2015 at St. Peter’s Church in Chorley.

This afternoon our President Bob Hutchinson and team member Naomi Horan in our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance, radio call sign ‘Bolton Mobile 1,’ journeyed to Chorley to support Chloe’s latest fundraising event.

On route they stopped to offer assistance at an RTC (Please see website ‘News’ report, incident 88, dated Sunday 2nd November 2014) and so arrived at Chloe’s event a little later than planned, which was a Charity Tea Dance at St. Peter’s Church in Chorley, which had commenced at 14.00hrs.

Bob and Naomi stayed for a while, enjoying the traditional afternoon tea, bake sale and raffle, and also a selection of dances as part of the show.
