Further to the reported visit by Denise Hicks, accompanying her friend Paula Cocker to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, this evening, Denise kindly handed over to our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE a wonderful cash donation of £20.00 to the team.

On Sunday 9th November 2014, whilst walking to the Remembrance Service at the Bomber Memorial, Anglezarke, we met with Denise at Alance Bridge, Yarrow Reservoir.

Learning that Denise was still recovering from an ankle fracture, we offered Denise a lift in to Lead Mines Valley in one of our Land Rovers, which she duly accepted.

Denise’s very kind donation was accompanied by a short note which read

“Thank you for helping me to get to the monument at Anglezarke.

I really appreciate your help.
