This evening when most sensible people stayed indoors to avoid the heavy rainfall, the team were out providing safety cover for some even less sensible Fell Runners competing in the Hendersons End Fell Race organised by Lostock Athletics Club.

The team travelled with all four Land Rover Ambulance vehicles with 21 Call Out Team Members dotted around the 5 mile course which takes place on the tracks around Winter Hill, starting at the Rivington Top Barn.

Two races took place, a juniors race with three competitors and a seniors race with 73 competitors.

Thankfully all competitors completed the course without incident.
