Today at 11.00hrs, 13x team call out list members and 4x probationary members, met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ for our monthly Vehicles, Trailers, SAR Boat and Base / HQ Valet and vehicles checks, Search and Rescue equipment checks.

Regardless of our routine checks and cleaning that takes place after every  use of our Base / HQ and our vehicles and kit, we still carry out this more comprehensive ‘day’ the last Sunday in every month.

Added to the usual tasks today was cleaning out all the gutterings of our building to remove autumn leaf debris, and an attempt (Akin to painting the Forth Road Bridge!) to sweep and clear all the autumn leaves from our courtyard area fronting our Base / HQ, quite a task considering we are surrounded by mature deciduous woodland – anybody want to donate to us a leaf blower!

Afterwards eight team members then went out in to our team moorland operational area, in three of our Land Rover Defender Mountain rescue Ambulances for some driver training and team area awareness.
