Following on from our website ‘news’ report of 17th November 2014, on Thursday 20th November 2014, our Team Secretary, Gillian Gregory, visited Horwich Council Chamber in Horwich Public Hall at the invitation of the Mayor of Horwich, Councillor Richard Silvester, to receive a donation resulting from the Mayor’s “World Zombie Day” charity dinner held in Bengal Cottage, Horwich, on 11th October 2014.
Bolton Mountain Rescue Team is one of the Mayor’s chosen charities to support during his year of office and, in the presence of Horwich Town Councillors, Gillian was delighted to receive a cheque for a fantastic total of £300.00 arising from the event.
We are very grateful to the Mayor of Horwich for this wonderful donation and for choosing to support Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
Our thanks also go, of course, to the ‘ghoulish’ diners who supported the charity dinner.
