Teenage members of Bolton Lads & Girls Club supported Bolton Mountain Rescue Team in fundraising during the National Citizens’ Summer Scheme and raised the fantastic amount of £243.53 which was presented at our HQ on 1st October 2014. Red Group 4, a group of fifteen young people aged 16-17 years who participated in the National Citizen’s Autumn Scheme, also chose to support Bolton Mountain Rescue Team with their fundraising and this morning our Team Secretary, Gillian Gregory, met with Lindsay Gleaves, Senior Youth Worker, at the Spa Road Club to accept a cheque for a marvellous £77.70. This was raised with an information stand at Middlebrook Retail Park over the weekend of 27th and 28th September 2014 raising awareness of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team and a sponsored walk from Bolton Lads & Girls Club to our Base/HQ on Chorley New Road, Heaton.
We would like to thank the young people involved for their marvellous efforts with their fundraising and for choosing to support us in this way on both Summer and Autumn NCS schemes.
