This evening the team was contacted by Dave Mitchell via Facebook. Dave was a member of staff present with the group involved on today’s incident, when one of the children had a snow sledging accident at Rivington (See Incident 23)

“A big thank you from all the staff for your rescue today at Rivington Pike.
We were all totally blown away by your professionalism and kindness.”

Dave also informed us that the casualty had indeed sustained a broken femur (leg) as we suspected, and will be undergoing an operation tomorrow. Our best wishes are extended to the young man involved for a speedy recovery.
