SARCALL is the activation and incident logging system – with many other features, increasingly becoming adopted at a national level within MREW.
Following on from the MPSRO SARCALL Silver Group exercise of yesterday evening, this evening this same ‘silver Group’ took part in ‘Exercise Cloudburst.’
Organised this evening by the Lake District regional mountain rescue body, LDSAMRA, this Major Incident desk top exercise, ‘Exercise Cloud Burst,’ involved a request via SARCALL MPSRO Silver Group, for resources and assets from this region.
Andy Binstead, Deputy Team Leader of Bowland Pennine MRT assumed the role of MPSRO Silver Commander, when the request was made to MPSRO, and co-ordinated the MPSRO response.
The Bolton MRT declared to this desk top exercise incident, our SAR Boat, Catering Trailer Unit, our two AerShelta inflatable shelter tents, two of our Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulances, our water team members and supporting team members.
It is our understanding that LDSAMRA declared this exercise a success.
