Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

6th April 2012

At 16.09hrs, the team was paged by Lancashire Constabulary regards its assistance in an urgent search for a missing person.

With seventeen team members in four team vehicles, still present in the Rivington area, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE contacted the Police, quickly establishing that the search was to be centred in the Buckshaw Village area of Chorley.

As this is in the primary operational area of our colleagues at Bowland Pennine MRT, the call was passed via Lancashire Constabulary to them, whilst informing the Police that we had seventeen team members immediately available to assist Bowland Pennine MRT should they wish such support.

We understand that shortly afterwards the missing person was located after Bowland Pennine MRT had been brought to standby to respond to this missing person incident.

This is recorded here for information purposes only and does not feature in our Incident Listings.
