This evening we hosted a visit by 4th Tyldesley Cubs and their Leaders to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
There follows an account of this visit by team member Paul Copley;
“Tonight Bolton MRT welcomed the 4th Tyldesley Cubs and their leader Siobhan Mullen along with two adult helpers.
Their lecture visit was hosted by full callout members Matt Hailwood, Equipment Officer – Base and Catering Paul Copley and Mike Marsh along with Trainee team members Heath Doran and Neil Haigh.
The eight Cubs were given an introduction to the team followed by two short films about the work of Mountain Rescue Teams.
The group then went down to the garage to be shown our various splints and stretchers, following by an impromptu stretcher carry with the training casualty being non other than the leader of the pack Siobhan Mullen.
The Cubs were then shown more of the contents of the team vehicles and our Trauma sack.
Their visit came to a close with a look at the team vehicles and a question and answer session back in the warmth of upstairs.Bolton MRT would like to thank the 4th Tyldesley Cubs and Siobhan for taking the time to visit the team and their obvious interest and active participation during their evening visit.”
