Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

11th May 2015

The following is a report by our Secretary and Support Group member Gillian Gregory, on the ASDA, Brackley Street, Farnworth, store collection day held this Saturday 9th May 2015.

“Our team members were busy all day at ASDA in Farnworth holding a charity collection within the store.

Three members of our Support Group, Gillian Gregory, Laura Tunnicliffe and Julie Thompson, were on duty on a rota basis, with very welcome assistance provided by team friend and supporter, John Ryan, and four of our trainee call-out members, Carole Truman, Heath Doran, Neil Haigh and Steve James.

Thanks to the generosity of ASDA’s customers, they raised the marvellous total of £301.13p for the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

We would like to thank the management of ASDA Farnworth for their support in allowing us into the store to collect, and Community Champion, Jake Taylor, for assisting with the arrangements.

A special thanks, of course, to all ASDA’s kind and generous customers for taking the time to pause from their shopping to drop their coins – and notes – into our buckets.”
