Yesterday morning, Thursday 21st May, Carole Frudd, President of Bolton HF Walking Club, phoned our Secretary Gillian Gregory, following up a recent conversation she had had with our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE.

Carole has very kindly chosen Bolton Mountain Rescue Team  for her Charity during her year of office, from now up until their AGM in March 2016.

Money will be raised through raffles, a President’s Day, Christmas pub meet, lunches and a dinner.

Carole informed Gillian that her President’s Day is on 8th July 2015 and she has asked to borrow 12x of our collecting tins for the duration of her presidency.

Bolton HF Walking Club have about 350 registered members, and over the years have become fantastic friends and wonderful supporters of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

At our Support Group meeting of yesterday evening, it was decided to donate one of our VARTA donated Russell Hobbs grill for one of her raffles as a sign of our support for their wonderful support of us.
