Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a very kind letter and a donation from Bob Dredge, the orienteer we assisted during the Horwich Festival of Racing on Sunday 21st June 2015 – see website report dated the same, and Incident Report 54 / 2 also of the same date.
In his kind letter, dated 22nd June 2015, Bob stated ;
“Dear Sir,
I wanted to write to express my thanks to the team who attended to my head injury at yesterdays Horwich Athletics Festival.
I managed to run in to a tree branch and received a bad head cut – eventually needing six stitches.
The orienteering organisers directed me to your Team and vehicle and they were excellent – in approach and treatment.
Please pass on my thanks to all – I have long been an admirer of the great service you provide throughout the country – and would like to give this small donation as a token of my thanks.
Best wishes to you all,
Yours,
Bob Dredge.”
Mr Robert (Bob) Dredge kindly enclosed a £25.00 donation with this letter.
All the team membership extends its thanks to Bob for the above kind comments and thoughtful donation, and team members Alistair Greenough and Mike Marsh, who attended to his injuries, both wish him a speedy recovery.
