Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

30th June 2015

Our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE is very pleased to share the contents of the following kind letter he has received from dear team friend and fantastic supporter John Barlow  of Edgworth;

“Dear Garry,

I sincerely hope you and the team are keeping fit and well.

Although my involvement with the Edgworth Real Ale Festival is now history I still enjoy chatting with members of the team when I meet them at the various fundraising events around the town.

My active enjoyment with Bolton HF also continues and I am pleased to confirm that, to date, we have not needed your services.

Please find enclosed a cheque for £140.00 as a donation to support the excellent work your Team undertakes in and around the Bolton area.

Some time ago we sent the Team a donation from monies raised from the sales of a St Paul’s Youth Club, Monton, DVD showing the 1960’s activities of the members.

I am pleased to be able to report that sales have continued to be enjoyed, albeit quite slowly, and we have now also added a second DVD showing pictures of old Eccles to our portfolio.

Friends who have bought these DVDs have been extremely pleased to hear of our promise that all income received will be donated to Bolton Mountain Rescue.

Please pass on our very best wishes to all your members and I hope our paths cross at some stage in the future.

Yours sincerely, John Barlow.”

Garry and indeed the entire team membership extends its grateful thanks as ever to John (and his family) for his wonderful and kind continuing and much appreciated support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
