At 11:03 this morning, the team was contacted by a GMP Missing Person Search Manager regards MRT assistance to an on going Police search operation for a missing 81 years old Bury man, who had last been seen at his Walmersley Road, Bury, home address late on the evening of Wednesday 7th December.

The likely search area was within the operational area of our colleagues at Rossendale and Pendle MRT, and the call was passed over to their team for action.

We understand Rossendale and Pendle MRT deployed to this search incident, which had a sad outcome with the discovery of the man’s body in the afternoon within the local area by a member of the public.
