Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

20th September 2015

Today at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, a small number of team members undertook an upgrade and replenishment of almost the entire contents of all six of our comprehensively equipped Trauma Sacs – carried on each of our six Team vehicles.

Also included within this work, was a similar upgrade and replenishment of all of the team vehicle First Aid Kits, our SAR Boat, Catering Trailer and Base / HQ First Aid Kits.

We would like to acknowledge the considerable work relating to this put in by our Training Officer Alistair Greenough, and those who assisted with this project.

A new type of trauma wound dressing, known simply as ‘The Emergency Bandage,’ has also been added to all our Trauma Sacs as of today.

These dressings are for major haemorrhage control, and consist of a fixed dressing pad and a moveable dressing pad, all within an elastic type / stretch bandage, with a simple pressure fitting.

With team members engaged on this project, our Deputy Team Leader Chris Greenhalgh, was meanwhile working on cutting down our very long length water rescue ‘reach poles’ to a more manageable size.
