Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

2nd December 2011

This evening the Victory Stompers Line Dancing Club held a fundraising evening at St Mary’s Club, Horwich, in aid of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

There follows an account of the evening by Team Support Group member Gillian Gregory;

“This evening, Team Support Group members Gillian Gregory and Caroline Mitchell represented Bolton Mountain Rescue Team at the Victory Stompers Line Dancing Club’s charity event held at St Mary’s Parish Centre, Richmond Street, Horwich.

Other local line dancing club members joined in the evening, all supporting the tombola and raffle, with Cactus Jack providing excellent singing & music for the dancing, and a delicious meat & potato pie supper provided.

Towards the end of the evening, organiser Jean Mulvaney announced the total raised for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team – the fantastic sum of £512.06.

Jean Mulvaney & Gillian Gregory, both delighted with the fundraising!

This was the third fundraising event to support the Team organised by Jean and her friends, Jenny Wilcox and Janette Ashton, raising in total so far over £1,410 towards our funds. So thanks very much to “the three Js” for your wonderful support of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, and many thanks to all the line dancers who attended the event and showed such generosity in supporting the Team.”
