Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

29th November 2011

This evening at the kind invitation of Cancer and Us (Cancer Support Group) at St Ann’s Hospice, Little Hulton, very experienced team members Chris Tennant and Dave Marsh (also a former Search and Rescue Dog Handler in the team) visited the group to give a presentation on the work of the team.

Their audience of fifteen ladies listened intently to Dave and Chris, with Dave also explaining his time in the Bolton MRT as a SARDA handler, accompanied this evening by his latest dog, Sasha, who he hopes to train up as a Drowned Victim Search Dog.

At the end of their well received presentation, and just as our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE arrived (A family issue had delayed him) Dave and Chris were presented with a very kind £50 .00 donation from the group Cancer and Us to the Bolton MRT, who also very kindly handed to Dave and Chris a kind personal gift each for giving up their evening to provide such an entertaining talk.

The whole Bolton MRT membership wishes to thank all at Cancer and Us, St Ann’s Hospice, Little Hulton, for their kindness and support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
