Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th September 2015

Following our Valet Day, and with other members already at two fundraising events being held to support the team, another small group of team members in our Land Rover Defender Mountain Rescue Ambulance, ‘Bolton Mobile 2,’ consisting of Training Officer Alistair Greenough, Deputy Team Leader Chris Greenhalgh and Ken Oakes, undertook some rope work including abseil descents, in the River Douglas Valley area, more popularly known locally as Tigers Clough – the wooded steep sided moorland valley between Rivington and Horwich.

They were joined later by Trainee team member Heath Doran and our Equipment Officer – Vehicles Neil Aspinall, who arrived in our Land Rover Defender Mountain rescue ambulance ‘Bolton Mobile 3,’ following their attendance at the Annual Haigh, Aspull and Blackrod Ploughing Competition.
