Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

24th November 2011

This afternoon our Team President, Bob Hutchinson and Team Life Vice President, Tony McNally were invited to St William of York School in Great Lever to talk to Class Y4 about their current topic “Mighty Mountains.”

Bob and Tony were met by class teacher Rachael Duffy and introduced to thirty one enthusiastic Y4 pupils. The children proved to be extremely knowledgeable on their subject and were able to tell Bob and Tony much about what they had learned.

The children had a good understanding of what mountains were like; where the highest were situated and described the mountains of England, Scotland and Wales. The children also told Bob and Tony about volcanoes and how they were also mighty mountains.

The visit concluded with Bob and Tony showing the children the contents of the rescue vehicle they had taken to the school. (Our Bolton Mobile 1 Land Rover)

Bob and Tony would like to thank Rachael and her class for inviting them to visit their school and to congratulate them on the questions they had prepared and the excellent behaviour and manners they showed to Bob and Tony.
