This evening nine team members spent time at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ preparing items for our Annual Bolton MRT Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue residential training weekend, to be held from Friday 9th October to Sunday 11th October 2015, at Bibbys Farm Scout Camp Site, Limbrick.
They put together the final parts of the course manual, finalised the programme, and detailed various administrative aspects of the weekend.
This year we have thirty trainees attending from MRTs and SRTs including Bolton MRT, NEWSART, Cheshire SART, Norfolk LSART, Suffolk LSART, Bay SART, and Merseyside LSART.
Guest lecturers will be attending from GMP, SARDA England, North West Police Underwater Search and Marine Unit and NWAS.
Active participation and demonstrations have been confirmed by NWAS HART, GMFRS Horwich, LFRS Chorley, LFRS Darwen, GMFRS Aerial Unit Drone, NWAA Helimed, and the National Police Air Support Unit Barton.
The members present tonight included Equipment Officer – IT and Communications Steve Fletcher, Mike Marsh, Treasurer Martin Banks, Equipment Officer – Base and Catering Paul Copley, Gary Melia, Michael Wakerley, Equipment Officer – Water David Cook and Trainee members Matthew Morris and Heath Doran.
