Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

21st October 2015

This evening commencing at 20.00hrs, all available team operational members met at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, to undertake their annual Basic Life Support Assessment and Automated External Defibrillator Assessment.

The evening started with very experienced team member Mark Scott giving a thorough and informative presentation on the very latest published Resuscitation Guidelines as issued on Thursday 15th October 2015.

All team members present were then assessed on a one to one basis regarding their BLS / CPR / AED skills in accordance with the new guidelines issued nationally, and Ambulance Service NHS Trust competency objectives.

Acting as Assessors were Bolton MRT Team members Mark Scott and Nigel Booth, with fantastic help from NWAS (Greater Manchester Area) Paramedic Paul Cragg.

All three had met with our Team Training Officer Alistair Greenough (a very experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse) to ensure consistency of assessment by our three Assessors this evening.

We are very pleased to report that all twenty nine team members who took their assessments this evening passed with no problems.

Further outstanding team members will all be assessed over the coming weeks.
