On Wednesday 14th October 2015, our Deputy Team Leader Chris Greenhalgh and Training Officer Alistair Greenough, took part in Exercise Diamond Commander, please see website ‘News’ report dated Friday 16th October 2015 for an account of their involvement.
This morning our Team leader Garry Rhodes MBE received the following email from Lieutenant Colonel Ray Carolin, relating to our involvement in this exercise, alongside all other agencies that took part:
“Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Commander and staff of HQ 42 Infantry Brigade a note of thanks for your support to Ex DIAMOND COMMANDER 13-14 October 2015.
We appreciate that it is big ask for partner agencies to commit to such extended training events but it was essential that the exercise was set within a multi-agency context as we are very clear that we are the supporting Headquarters and not the supported.
We are very grateful to you for providing this context and realism and if you require any support from HQ 42 Infantry Brigade in the future you have only to ask.
Apologies for the rather belated thanks but I have only just returned to office after a Battlefield Study to Gallipoli.
Kind Regards, Ray
Lt Col R Carolin | Joint Regional Liaison Officer, HQ 42nd Infantry Brigade & HQ North West, Fulwood Barracks, Preston, PR2 8AB.”
