On Saturday 31st October our Support Group members were at Morrisons’ store, Atlas Mills, Bolton, holding a charity collection in the entrance foyer. Iain Clarkson, Sarah Hindle, Dave Rees, John Ryan, Gillian Gregory, and Andy Keyworth operated a rota throughout the day, very gratefully assisted by team friend and supporter, Andy’s wife, Haylee, and former Support Group member, trainee operational team member, Steve James.
The money collected has now been counted and we are pleased to report a total of £187.78 was donated to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team by Morrisons’ kind customers . Thank you to them for taking the time to pause from their Hallowe’en shopping to enquire about our work and for dropping their loose change (and some banknotes!) into our collection buckets. We also wish to thank the Management of Morrisons Atlas Mills and their Community Champions, Keri Latham and Tracy Mokler, for their support in allowing the collection to take place in their store.
Also present within the store were British Legion poppy sellers, and we hope they were as equally successful with their Poppy Appeal campaign.
