Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received the following very kind letter enclosing a fantastic cheque donation from Duncan Watson, of Egerton, Bolton, an employee of BAE Systems, Warton.
“Dear Garry,
Please find enclosed a cheque for £295.00 which on behalf of my work colleagues and myself, we would like to donate to Bolton Mountain Rescue.
In the office where I work, at BAE Systems in Warton, we run an office tuck shop and every month a charity is pulled out of a hat who will be the beneficiaries of the profits made from the tuck shop during the month.
We had the addition of running a Rugby World Cup sweepstake and the winners donated their prizes to be given to the chosen charity.
So far since February 2014 we have raised over £5,700.00 for different charities.
The reason I chose Bolton MRT, is that I am a keen walker myself and often walk over the moors from Egerton to Chapeltown, Tockholes and Blackburn and also around Entwistle and Wayoh reservoirs and often go to the Forest of Bowland too.
Although I have not had the need to call for any help, I am aware that there are times when people need help from good people and teams like yourselves and hopefully the enclosed cheque can be put to good use.
Yours faithfully, Duncan Watson.”
This is a marvellous and very kind donation, with our sincere thanks expressed to all at BAE Systems, Warton, who have contributed to this very thoughtful donation.
