Further to our provision of standby rescue cover at this years Horwich Festival of Racing all day event, held in Horwich Town centre on Sunday 19th June, this evening prior to our routine weekly exercise commencing, we were delighted to receive as special guests at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, Barbara Ronson, President of Horwich Festival of Racing, and John Smith, Chairman of Lostock Athletics Club and Horwich Festival of Racing Running Race Organiser.

They were met by our Team Chairman Craig Lamb, Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon and other members of the team.

Barbara and John, as representatives of the Horwich Festival of Racing Committee, then very kindly handed over to the team a fantastic donation of £500.00 as a thankyou for the teams help and assistance with their June 2011 event.

The team is happy to fully support the Horwich Festival of Racing events, and will be lending its full resources to the planned events for 2012, including the main event centred upon Horwich itself on Sunday 17th June 2012.

The whole team membership wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the Horwich Festival of Racing Committee for their continuing much appreciated support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
