Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

9th February 2016

Last Thursday evening, Steve Nelson, along with his trailing search dog, Boris, appeared on the BBC2 Programme “Cats v Dogs: Which is Best?”

In the programme Chris Packham walked around Manchester laying a scent trail for Boris to follow in order to demonstrate his trailing skills.

Boris (and Steve), who are also members of SARDA Wales, avoided the tricks set by Chris, including doubling back to lay a false trail, “washing” away the scent, and walking around a block to confuse the trail, and quickly found Chris.

For those people who missed the programme, it is available on the BBC iPlayer for the next month (the trailing dog section starts around 25:30). The programme mini site can be found here. (webmaster: #TeamCat)
