At 14:30 today the team were requested to mobilise to assist our colleagues in Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue team in the potential long carry of a casualty with an ankle injury in the Trawden area of Pendle.
With the potential long carry-off team RPMRT Team Leader Pete Goble requested assistance due to the low numbers available with this carry. Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team who would usually assist RPMRT were attending an event relating to their 50th year since forming celebrations.
Around 14 Bolton members responded with a long blue light run ahead along the M65. Upon reaching Colne, the team received a stand-down message as the available RPMRT members had managed to access the casualty using their Polaris off-road vehicle.
The team gathered in the Boundary Mill café for a de-brief before continuing the journey back to Bolton.
