At 16:20 this afternoon the team was contacted by Greater Manchester police to assist in the search for a 51 year old lady who had gone missing from hospital at 5:00 this morning.
There was a very large area of open and wooded land adjacent to the hospital which also contained multiple bodies of water. Due to the size of the area and it’s proximity to Cheshire our colleagues from Cheshire Search and Rescue Team were requested by us to assist with the search, providing around 20 members.
While deployed in the search areas the lady was fortunately located safe and well. She was returned to the hospital for medical assessment.
The team would like to thank Cheshire Search and Rescue team for their assistance in this successful search.
